Over the next several years, TxDOT is planning a major expansion of the 1-35 Corridor through Lewisville.  City Council will be tasked with creating new ordinances, helping existing businesses work through the challenges of disrupted traffic during construction, and working with the state to maximize the benefits while minimizing the disruptions.

During this time, Council will have to be open, accessable, and open minded to change, as this presents the biggest opportunity to transform Lewisville's 'front porch' in the past 15 years.  This is also an opportunity to beautify neighborhoods impacted by the changes, and to work with businesses to create a shopping and business friendly environment.
