Like many of you... I made it to Texas as soon as I could. I was born in Arizona and traveled quite a bit as my father was a ranch hand and trained horses for ranchers all over Arizona as well as a short stint in Snyder, Texas (home of the White Buffalo Days and a gold plated Delorean). Dad is now retired after working for 20 years with Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Phoenix. I paid my own way to school at the University of Arizona in Tucson and received my Bachelors Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences (how people and organizations work). While in college I worked for Nelson Publishers selling educational books and bibles door to door in Kentucky. I averaged 75 hour work weeks for the summer and received an intimate education of what Appalachia was all about. After graduation I married my wife of 12 years, Tanya, who happened to be my college sweetheart. We moved to Massachusetts, where she was from, and I went to work for Dale Carnegie Training as a corporate training consultant. Over the past 13 years I've worked with Carnegie Training as a sales consultant and as an instructor. I am a Regional Sales Manager for Iwatsu Voice Networks, an international telecommunications equipment manufacturer. I work with small and midsized companies to solve their communications needs, as well as support and train distributors across the country. We moved to the Metroplex in 2000; right after our daughter Bridget was born. After an exhaustive search, chose Lewisville as the place best suited to raise our children. Twenty months later we had our sons William and Tommy. We attend church at the First United Methodist Church, our boys are Tiger Cubs in Pack 233, and our  daughter is a Brownie in Troop 972. Tommy and Will  are also enjoying their third season with Greater Lewisville Area Soccer Association (GLASA). All three attend school at Degan Elementary. My wife Tanya is a teacher at the Montessori Episcopal School in Lewisville. I have served on the Irving Texas Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors (2003-2004), and on the Community Development Block Grant Committee for Lewisville since 2005. I am currently the Past Chair of that committee. I worked with the Summit Area Neighbors Association and got many of our neighbors together to negotiate oil and gas leases. My involvement was to gather my neighbors together as Lynette Haines drove this particular initiative; however, I'm personally involved in Lewisville's recent Oil and Gas discussions as an owner of my mineral rights. I've also had several of my suggestions added to Lewisville's current oil and gas ordinances. This past year I participated in the Lewisville Citizen's Police Academy and am a member of LARC (Lewisville Area Republican Club). My family and I are proud to live and serve in Lewisville.
