I have been a resident of Lewisville for over 20 years. When my last company tried to transfer me to San Antonio, I knew I wanted to stay in Lewisville for my family and friends.  I then put my life savings in my own business, right here in Lewisville.  My family and my livelihood are now rooted in this city. So when determining my vote for city council, I looked at it as both a resident and a local business owner. And from both points of view, the clear choice is T.J. Gilmore.

I have been impressed with T.J.’s in-depth knowledge of not only the issues, but how to solve them. He has studied hard to understand the many complex issues that need to be dealt with as a city councilman. He has also “beat” the streets to talk with residents to find out their concerns and needs. The time and effort he has spent to make the city better is commendable. More than anything, I want someone representing the city who has a cool head on their shoulders - someone who can make reasonable, rational choices, then clearly articulate their response and solutions to their constituency. T.J. is the candidate that can do this.

Without hesitation, I fully support T.J. Gilmore for Lewisville City Council Place 4.

Why am I voting for TJ Gilmore?  

TJ Believes in the youth of Lewisville.  He not only is working for his own kids future, but he steps forward to help all the kids.  He has already done so in Cub Scout Pack 233.  Whenever there is a need for adult help, TJ steps forward or lines up another resource.  He knows how to lead by doing and by delegating.

I also believe in TJ's priorities.  He understands the role of the city in immigration reform.  While other towns spend budgets on legal battles, TJ will focus on the crime that we should really be trying to eliminate.  It's important for us to remember that most of our families started out in some other nation and immigrated here too.

Those who exercise authority should do so as a service and TJ will serve all of those who live within the borders of our city.

I am supporting TJ Gilmore for Lewisville City Council and I encourage you to vote for him.  He has the best interests of Lewisville at heart, including on immigration issues.  I have lived in the metroplex for 12 years; when I was house hunting a few years ago, I chose not to look for housing where I saw a city with major budgetary issues due to lawsuits as they have worked to become an enforcement arm for the federal goverment.  We don't want Lewisville to have that same economic damage.  TJ Gilmore understands how to accomplish goals without unreasonable behavior that works against economic development.

TJ Gilmore will work to ensure that the city of Lewisville remains a great place to raise a family.  He has been involved on city committees and has experience building coalitions and working with tight budgets.  His background working with large companies gives him an understanding of the importance of economic development to city vitality, which also contributes to the bottom line revenue for the city, and in turn provides services for residents.
